About

Reports suggest that the Treasury and the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero are planning a "Green Day" by the end of March. The day is likely to see an update to the Net Zero Strategy which the Government was ordered by the High Court to improve, and a response to Chris Skidmore's Net Zero Review, as well as potentially other announcements around energy, electric vehicles and other aspects of net zero policy.

This media briefing will therefore consider:

  • What the Government is likely to announce, and how significant announcements are expected to be;
  • UK progress on meeting net zero targets across different sectors, and where progress is lagging;
  • The implications of the US Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and EU Net Zero Industry Act (NZIA) on the UK drive for competitiveness on net zero technologies.

If you would like to attend the briefing please register via the Zoom link. If you have any questions about it, please contact Tricia Curmi, Communications, ECIU, Tel: 07908 527 186, email: tricia.curmi@eciu.net
