James Heappey joins ECIU Advisory Board

James Heappey said: “The debates on energy and climate change are at a fascinating and important stage in the UK, and it’s crucial that politicians, journalists and the public base their positions on sound evidence.

“The Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit has a key role to play in stimulating evidence-based debate, and I look forward to working with it in the important years ahead.”

ECIU Director Richard Black said: “I’m delighted to welcome James Heappey to our Advisory Board.

“He has quickly become an important voice on the Conservative backbenches regarding the UK’s energy choices, and his background as an Army officer serving in difficult parts of the world gives him real expertise at the conjunction between climate change and conflict.

“I’m looking forward very much to working with James on national and international issues in the years to come.”
