Comment on Scottish Budget: energy

Commenting on net zero and energy measures in the Scottish Budget, Alasdair Johnstone from the Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit (ECIU) said: "Scotland's net zero economy grew 20% in 2024 and the focus on additional investments in retraining and renewables supply chains in this Budget reflects how dramatically Scotland’s energy landscape is continuing to evolve. Workers in the offshore energy sector will no doubt welcome additional support for skills and retraining, but will want to study the detail further."
